রাত তখন ২টা। পুরো শহর ঘুমিয়ে আছে। শুধু রাফি জেগে আছে, পড়াশোনার টেবিলে বসে। সামনে খোলা বই, কফির কাপ পাশে রাখা। চারদিক নিস্তব্ধ, এতটাই নীরব যে নিজের নিঃশ্বাসের শব্দও স্পষ্ট শোনা যাচ্ছে।

রাফি আস্তে করে পেছনে তাকালো।

মানুষের মতো আকৃতি, কিন্তু চোখ নেই, মুখ নেই—শুধু একটা কালো অবয়ব দাঁড়িয়ে আছে দরজার সামনে!
